“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isa 5:20
Herescope.Com have it exactly right when they say that it will be through a multitude of covenants, agreements, and declarations, that the change away from Christian Orthodoxy will come. One of the biggest deceptions is the idea that democracy is somehow synonymous with freedom and every other form of government equals tyranny. (This general rule can also be extended to include other democracies as long as the right world leaders agree)
Where did we get this idea from? Democracy, which is made up from the words, Demos (people) and Kratos (rule), is mostly believed to have its roots in ancient Greece around the time of Plato (400 BC)
The Greek philosophers are generally considered to have laid down the cornerstone of modern civilisation but from a Christian perspective, this does not add up. Bear in mind that the early Greeks held pagan beliefs. Which then of the Pantheon of Greeks gods which the Apostle Paul refers to as demons (1Cor 10:18-22), could take credit for the inspiring the first democrats? Or is it possible that the occult mystery schools which had spread from the holy lands to the region by that time had influenced the Philosophers to introduce this early form of democracy?
Jesus did not rely on the majority to become the King of Glory and just as well because He would certainly have been voted out of power by the Liberal Theologians by now. It is surprising to think of how the democratic process is shaping the new direction of church and society. When the majority of politicians went to church on a regular basis, we could be fairly sure that, at least on the face of things, biblical principals would be upheld within government. And conversely, as we have become a predominately secular society, it is only reasonable to expect that Godly and Biblical ideals would not figure in the formation of policy to the same extent. It is quite easy to see how the new form of morality such as that laid out in the contents of the Earth charter or in the Humanist manifesto would be incorporated into law. Under democratic rule, if the majority believed that evil was good and good was evil, then love would become illegal and sin would become compulsory, it might sound bizarre but we are already at the beginning of such a departure from Such Holy Standards. God set down laws for us to live in accordance with so that we would live life in fullness rather than defiled by sin.
Despite the efforts to disassemble Gods unchanging law, it remains. Jesus said that, “Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled” Matt 5:18
