David Wilkerson sounds a warning to all who have bought into the American mind-set that morals do not count and the economy is all that matters. Read

Strange Fire is a brief, easy-to-understand book that explains how to tell the Truth from the Lie. It doesn’t dwell on the spectacular manifestations, but concisely illustrates modern Gnosticism. The real gold of the Gospel is presented in such a way that it outshines the fool’s gold of Gnosticism. Readers will have no doubt as to which is which. This handy tool enables even the unlearned to discern Gnosticism the next time they encounter it.

This is one little book that may save many a soul from walking into the error and falsehood so prevalent in our time. Download

The heart of the book is about the institutionalised economic criminal activity that is part and parcel of the politics of globalisation. Palast portrays the IMF, the World Bank and the assorted group of agencies as institutions that “dream up, then dictate, the terms of the new international economics” to create what he describes as “the Golden Straitjacket” of globalisation. He produces vivid case studies from across the globe to challenge even the most paranoid of conspiracy theorists. On the whole, the book claims to show that economic “assistance plans” presided over by these institutions amount to a (so far) guaranteed sentence of economic damnation. Download

Gatto’s treatment of how compulsory schooling came into existence in the United States is fascinating, to say the least. He colourfully paints a picture of how Americans moved away from the era of the Founding Fathers, where limited government (libertarian style), individual independence, high moral standards, small-scale local economies, and a firm foundation in family and communities, were the stock and trade of what made America great. What replaced all of this was a much expanded government, big business, the State considering the child as its own (Hegelian style), which disrupted families, local economies, and created the mass culture all of us know so well. The unsatisfying result is that children are nowadays being reared to become employees instead of creating and carving a business for their own. Childhood got extended into adolescence, and growing up and finding one’s own path though life postponed unto an age where the young literally have become almost too old to learn much else than being told how to behave. Call it social engineering, and the men behind this grand scheme are being named and exposed for what they are. Download

“Tragedy and Hope” is a sprawling history of the world during approximately the period 1890-1960. If one is looking for the details of some half-forgotten international incident during this period, he is likely to find them somewhere in this book. Reading “Tragedy and Hope” is a good refresher course for anyone wishing to understand twentieth-century history, especially the two World Wars, the events leading up to them, and their consequences. Is the United States a force for democracy? From China in the 1940s to Guatemala today, William Blum presents a comprehensive study of American covert and overt interference, by one means or another, in the internal affairs of other countries. Each chapter of the book covers a year in which the author takes one particular country case and tells the story – and each case throws light on particular US tactics of intervention. Download

This book is by authors who learnt from some of the excesses of the Great Welsh Revival of 1904. The book’s premise is that there are counterfeit spiritual manifestations as well as godly, and that the Christian can be decieved, affected and manipulated by demons.
This is therefore a book on spiritual discernment, spiritual warfare, spiritual gifts and revival.

The Hour of Revival is a time of crisis and few go through it without deception by the enemy. Bluntly, the Revival Hour is the occasion for evil spirits to fool the most spiritual believers into becoming deceived & possessed by evil spirits in their outer being through unwittingly accepting Satan’s counterfeits.

The aftermath of the Revival in Wales, which was a true work of God, revealed many ‘honest souls’ swept off their feet by evil supernatural powers, which were not discerned as being not of God.

This is a glimpse into the mixed manifestations which have come upon the Church, as almost without exception, in every land where revival has broken forth, within a very brief period of time the counterfeit stream has mingled with the true; and almost without exception, true and false have been accepted together. Evil spirit possession has followed, and checked every similar revival throughout the centuries since Pentecost and these things must now be understood, and dealt with, if the Church is to advance to maturity. Build up your defenses, flood your moat, and prepare for war!
Bunyan will illuminate your understanding and show you:

The enemy will stop at nothing to possess your soul

A masterpiece of the English Puritan tradition, The Pilgrim’s Progress is rich in its imaginative power and its vivid and heartfelt language. It recounts the story of Christian, who appears to the author in a dream, and his journey to Heaven through the trials and tribulations of life. He meets many like-minded pilgrims on his way, such as Faithful and Hopeful, but before they attain their goal they encounter the Giant Despair and the River of Death itself. Translated into more than one hundred languages, The Pilgrim’s Progress continues to have an immeasurable influence on English literature. Download

Composed and published while John Bunyan (1628-1688) was in prison for his religious principles, “Grace Abounding” is an extraordinary spiritual autobiography. It was written in an age when religious radicalism was regarded as socially subversive, and is a haunting, often harrowing and ultimately inspiring account of his inner life: his long struggle with and eventual triumph over doubt and despair, his spiritual regeneration and his subsequent emergence as a preacher and writer of great imaginative power. God and Satan are the chief protagonists in Bunyan’s drama, existing not as theological concepts but as terrifyingly immediate adversaries in the competition for his soul. Yet he finds his spiritual defences in the Bible, and “Grace Abounding” charts his passionate and imaginative involvement with this ultimate source of wisdom. Download
